Gaeltacht Dhún Lúiche
Situated in the heart of the Donegal Gaeltacht, Coláiste Bhrian Bóromha is committed to creating fun learning experiences for its students. We recognise the importance of immersion education and for pupils to be surrounded by the Irish language in daily life.
It’s not just about classroom learning—students hear the language spoken in the community, in shops, at home, and during all activities. This helps students to put learning into practice, picking up new words and phrases naturally, and develop confidence and fluency in using the language in real conversations.
Accommodation
Accommodation is an integral part of a students’s Gaeltacht experience. Students stay with a bean an tí—a host approved by the Department of Rural & Community Development and the Gaeltacht. In these homes, Irish is the primary language, allowing students to practice what they learn and hear the language spoken naturally every day. All meals are provided, ensuring students are well cared for during their stay. Students are accommodated with friends where possible, so please list members of your friend group when applying.

Tá na cursaí seo riachtanach d’ábhair oidí atá i mbun staidéir i gcoláistí Oiliúna Múinteoirí - Ollscoil Cháthair Bhaile Átha Cliath, Institiúid Oideachais Marino, Coláiste Mhuire Gan Smál & Coláiste Hibernia.
